Severe Weather

This is the season for severe tornadic weather in the central part of the United States.  Tonight, there was a very serious tornado outbreak in the Oklahoma City area, with a lot of damage, and many injuries.

Extreme weather is exhilarating and exciting, but we are always saddened with the loss of health, life and property as a result.  Severe weather is a tragedy to all who experience it.

Recently, there was serious flooding in Nashville and elsewhere Tennessee.  Again, with serious injury and property damage. 

We think we are in control of our lives, but the forces of nature are sometimes unbelievably powerful and remind us that we have so little control, sometimes of our environment.

Humbling.
