Dale Earnhardt "Just a Good Racer"

I am a Dale Earnhardt fan from way back, when he was driving the yellow and blue Wrangler Chevy... My heart for NASCAR racing died when he died.  I will not relive all that. But I am watching a TV show tonight about him, and saw the clip where he said he wanted to be remembered  as "just a good racer, not a great racer, just a good racer."  I understand that... the desire to be good at what you do, day in and day out...

I remember the emotions strung out during that year of racing (2001) and then 9/11/2001.  What an emotional year...

My love for NASCAR has dissipated since then... I think I have not ever recovered from the death of Dale Earnhardt....
